Fertilizer drum coating machine is a device used for coating fertilizer particles. The following will introduce its working principle, structural composition, application advantages and disadvantages:
Working principle
Rolling forming principle: The drum of the drum coating machine rotates slowly under the drive of the driving device. After the fertilizer particles enter the drum, they roll along the inner wall of the drum under the action of gravity, friction, and centrifugal force. During the rolling process, the particles continuously roll and collide, providing conditions for the uniform adhesion of the coating material.
Coating material coating: By using a specialized feeding device, the coating material (such as paraffin, resin, polymer, etc.) is evenly sprayed or applied onto the surface of fertilizer particles. As the particles roll, the coating material gradually forms a continuous and uniform film on the surface of the particles, achieving the coating treatment of fertilizer particles.
Drying and solidification: During the coating process, hot air or other drying methods are usually introduced to quickly dry and solidify the coating material, forming a hard and firm coating layer. The temperature and flow rate of hot air can be adjusted according to the characteristics and process requirements of the coating material to ensure the quality of the coating.
Structural composition
Drum part: It is the core component of the drum coating machine, usually made of stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant materials. The drum is generally equipped with spiral blades or baffles inside, which are used to guide the movement trajectory of fertilizer particles, increase the collision and mixing effect between particles, and make the coating more uniform.
Drive device: including motor, reducer, coupling, etc., used to drive the rotation of the drum. The motor provides power, and the reducer reduces the high speed of the motor to a low speed suitable for the operation of the drum, and increases the torque to ensure that the drum can operate smoothly and reliably.
Coating material supply system: composed of storage tanks, conveying pumps, nozzles, etc. The storage tank is used to store coating materials, and the conveying pump extracts the coating materials from the storage tank and evenly sprays them onto the fertilizer particles inside the drum through the nozzle. The design and arrangement of the nozzle play a crucial role in the uniformity of coating material application.
Hot air system: mainly includes hot air stove, fan, air duct, etc. The hot air stove generates high-temperature hot air, and the fan sends the hot air into the drum through the air duct to dry the coated fertilizer particles. The hot air system may also be equipped with temperature sensors and controllers to accurately control the temperature and flow of hot air.
Control system: used to monitor and control various components of the drum coating machine, including the speed of the drum, the supply of coating materials, the temperature and flow rate of hot air, etc. The control system usually uses PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) or other automation control equipment, and operators can set and operate parameters through touch screens or control panels.
Application advantages
Improving fertilizer utilization: The coating layer can slow down the release rate of fertilizer, allowing nutrients in the fertilizer to be continuously supplied during the crop growth cycle, reducing nutrient loss and volatilization, and improving fertilizer utilization, thereby achieving the goal of saving fertilizer, reducing costs, and minimizing environmental pollution.
Improving particle performance: making the surface of fertilizer particles smoother and rounder, enhancing particle strength and wear resistance, reducing particle breakage and dust flying during storage, transportation, and application, improving the physical properties of fertilizers, and facilitating fertilization operations.
Realize multifunctionality: By selecting different coating materials and formulas, fertilizer particles can be endowed with various special functions, such as moisture resistance, anti caking, adding trace elements, bioactive substances, etc., to meet the fertilization needs of different crops and soil conditions.
Adapting to large-scale production: With high production efficiency, it can meet the requirements of large-scale fertilizer production, continuously and stably coat a large number of fertilizer particles, and improve production efficiency.
